Nobody Injured After Brick Facade Falls From East Side Storefront

Firefighters responded to Winnebago Street Saturday evening after a brick facade fell off a storefront. Nobody was injured by the falling bricks, which reportedly collapsed all at once and comprised the 5’ x 30’ upper exterior of the store at 1941 Winnebago Street.
Engine Co. 3 responded and confirmed there were no victims beneath the rubble. Firefighters also accessed the roof to remove other stray bricks. The sidewalk was cordoned off, and City of Madison Building Inspectors were notified.
