City of Madison Fleet joins Alliant Energy, Madison Gas and Electric, and Wisconsin Clean Cities in hosting Sustainable Transportation, a virtual educational series for fleet and transportation professionals - and anyone interested in these rapidly changing industries! This virtual series is a continuation of the in-person Transportation and Innovation Expo held in May 2019 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. The first-of-its-kind event featured Wisconsin’s largest-ever alternative energy vehicle and equipment displays and the opportunity to test-drive a wide variety of the latest EVs. Due to COVID, we have postponed this year's expo until 2021 and are offering an online series this year.
From September 10 through October 15, join us at 1 p.m. each Thursday for a virtual educational session on a variety of sustainable transportation topics with the top experts in the industry. You can join from anywhere. City of Madison leaders will present in two of the panels:
- Mahanth Joishy, Fleet Superintendent, will talk about how the City is adding new EVs to our fleet in the Electric Vehicles discussion on September 24
- Justin Stuehrenberg, Metro Transit General Manager, will share what Madison Metro is doing in the Sustainable Truck & Bus Solutions discussion on October 8
