Bringing Your Best Self to Work in a time of COVID by EAP
This training will explore the impact of wellness for employees in their personal and professional lives, discuss the benefit of reducing stress, increasing mental and physical health, improving work satisfaction and productivity, and will explore often overlooked areas of how stress can impact work units. Wellbeing looks different for each person, as it encompasses physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, intellectual, and social aspects. Further, working with the public can sometimes be challenging, increasing an employee’s stress response, which can present personal and professional challenges if left unaddressed. In this workshop, we will identify ways employees can increase their resiliency at work. This is an interactive training aimed at exploring what it means to bring your best self to work. Through a series of lectures, polls, and small group discussions, participants will get a better understanding of well-being in the workplace. We will explore vulnerability, trust, resiliency, and wellness. As a result, you will leave with increased self-awareness and a plan for how to improve your well-being so that you can bring your best self to work.
