Holiday Tree Collection
We collect holiday trees and turn them into mulch.
We have two rounds of holiday two collection every year. You can also bring your trees to a drop-off site.
2025 Collection
The first round of collection starts on Monday, January 6, 2025.
- If you place your tree on the curb by January 6, we will likely collect it by January 17, depending on weather conditions.
- If you place your tree on the curb after January 6, we may not collect it until the second round.
The second round of collection starts on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
- If you place your tree on the curb by January 21, we will likely collect it by January 31, 2024, depending on weather conditions.
- If you place your tree on the curb after January 31, we may not collect it until regular brush collection begins in the spring.
Collection could be delayed or canceled due to winter weather. Snow and ice operations have priority over tree collection.
Holiday Tree Collection Rules
You must follow these guidelines to avoid damaging our equipment. We will not collect trees that do not follow the guidelines.
- Place trees on the terrace or right of way area.
- Remove and discard tree bags.
- Remove all tree stands, ornaments, lights, and other objects.
- Crews will not dig out trees buried under snow or frozen to the curb. You may need to dig your trees out so crews can pick them up.
Wreaths, Boughs, and Evergreen Ropes
Put wreaths, boughs, and evergreen ropes in the trash.
Our tree crews will not collect these items. They often contain wires that can damage wood chipping equipment.
