Public Sidewalk Snow Clearing Update

The snowfall is ending. Today’s snow fall should be cleared from public sidewalks by 12:00 PM (noon) on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
It’s important to remove the snow promptly. The forecast shows that tomorrow’s temperatures will remain below freezing. Don’t rely on the temperature to keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice.
If there is any ice left on the sidewalk that you can’t remove, spread sand or another safe material to provide traction.
Free sand for residents is available at several locations around Madison to keep sidewalks safe.
