Happy Earth Month 2025
posted
Happy Earth Month! Although Earth Day falls on April 22, there’s no need to wait to start the celebration. Throughout April, organizations of all sizes are hosting events in and around Madison. Earth Month is a time to recognize the progress we’ve made in protecting our environment while also raising awareness and fostering collaboration to address future challenges. Visit the City’s Sustainability and Resilience page to explore the steps being taken to safeguard our planet.
We hope you’ll join fellow Madisonians in celebrating Earth Month at these exciting events!
Spring Roll Challenge
RoundTrip, a program of the Greater Madison MPO, is hosting the annual Spring Roll Challenge during Earth Month to encourage people in Dane County to use more affordable and environmentally-friendly ways to travel. The challenge runs all of April and is open to anyone 18 or older in Dane County. Since it’s Earth Month, it’s the perfect time to try swapping car trips for more sustainable options — like biking, walking/rolling, taking the bus, carpooling, or vanpooling. Sign up for free and track your trips.
The first 50 people to log a trip will get a free slice from Ian’s Pizza and two Metro Transit rides! Plus, everyone who participates will have a chance to win prizes every week and at the end of the challenge.

Sustain Dane will provide gloves, trash bags, and hand sanitizer. For more information visit:
