Read Metro's 2022 Annual Report

In 2022, Metro continued to feel the effects of COVID-19 with routes operating at 85% of the service level in effect prior to the pandemic.

Final preparations also got underway for a complete redesign of all routes, Metro's largest system overall since it converted to a transfer point system in 1998.

The goal of the new system was to provide better access to jobs, reduce travel times and overall make the system easier to use.

New routes were also being designed to integrate into Metro's upcoming bus rapid transit system expected to launch at the end of 2024.
