Madison Beaches Hours Change beginning Monday, August 11

Lifeguard services hours at the four major beaches, Olbrich Park, Vilas Park, BB Clarke and Tenney Park, will be changed to 11:00a.m.-6:00p.m. Annually, the Parks Division reduces the beach lifeguard hours by one hour due to the earlier sunset. Lifeguard services at Bernie's Beach, Esther Beach, James Madison Park, Olin Park, Spring Harbor Park and Warner Park Beach hours will continue to be daily from 12:30p.m.-4:30p.m. Lifeguard services will end at all of the guarded beaches on Labor Day, Monday, September 1. Conditions of the beaches change often. The Health Department monitors the weekly condition and bacteria count at the beaches.
