2009 Gates of Heaven Reservations begin Wednesday, October 1

The Madison Parks Staff will begin taking reservations for the 2009 season for the popular Gates of Heaven building, beginning October 1 at 8:00a.m. Gates of Heaven, located in James Madison Park, is a popular location for weddings or other intimate gatherings. Reservations are first come, first serve. The City-County Building doors open at 5:00a.m. Pre-numbered reservation sheets will be located in the building lobby. The Parks Office doors open at 8:00a.m. Phone-in reservations will begin at 8:15 a.m. Parks staff highly recommends that anyone wishing to host an event in 2009 in the Gates of Heaven have advanced reservations. Please note that Gates of Heaven serves as a polling place, and 2009 election dates are: February 17, April 7, September 8 and November 3. Also, Gates of Heaven hosts services on the Jewish High Holy Days. 2009 dates are: Passover, March 29-31 and April 4-6, Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 18-20 and Yom Kippur, Sept 27-28.
