Vilas Park Ice Rinks to open today

The Madison Parks Division is excited to announce the opening of the Vilas Park ice skating rinks. Vilas Park Skating will be open today from 4p.m.-9:30p.m., weather permitting. Skate rental is available. Staff is continuing to work on the maintenance of the other ice rinks. Staff will open the rinks as soon as they are safe for the public. With the predicted snow on Tuesday and Thursday, park staff immediate priority is for public safety. Staff will be plowing streets, sidewalks and bike trails. Ice Rink and Ski Trail maintenance will resume after those jobs are completed. We will keep the public informed as conditions change.
