On the Borderlines' exhibition, Interconnection - A Bridge Across the Borderline, features digital photographs based on the premise that we do not get through life alone. The participants were asked to identify individuals who support, nurture and challenge them. Excerpts from journals that the girls kept during this project will accompany the photos. You are invited to attend the reception for the project held on May 21, 2009 from 4:00-5:30pm. On the Borderline is a ten year-old program created by Sandy Wojtal-Weber. Young women, from underserved communities, are lent digital cameras, learn basic photographic tools, formal and environmental photographic portrait skills, and journal about their experiences. Over 190 girls have participated in this eight to ten week program.
