Gates of Heaven & Madison Park Shelters 2011 Reservations begin November 17, 2010 The 2011 reservations Madison Parks shelters and the Gates of Heaven will begin November 17, 2010. Madison Parks has 18 shelters nestled in Madison's unique and scenic parks. Each shelter has a restroom, electricity and water and are an ideal location for your graduation party, family reunion, company picnic or wedding. There is a high demand for Park shelters so don't wait to reserve your date! Reservation Lottery System A number lottery system has been instated to ensure fairness for the patrons wishing to reserve the more popular shelters and summer weekend dates. Numbers will be drawn beginning at 7:30a.m., and in-person reservations will begin at 8:15a.m. Phone-in reservations will begin at 11:00a.m. Because of the lottery system, it will not be in anyone's best interest to arrive at the Madison Parks office before 7:00a.m. Long-standing annual special events will be reserved in advance of the Park Shelter reservation date. Those 2011 event dates will be posted on the Madison Parks website by November 5, 2010 for the 2011 season.
