UW-Madison Students & Others Should Take Crime Prevention Steps
The Madison Police Department (MPD) advises students to take valuables with them as they head home for winter break over the next week. Burglars and thieves typically target electronics: computers, television sets, video gaming equipment, cameras etc. These are the types of items crime prevention officers would urge residents to take with them. In addition, the MPD urges downtown residents to make sure their homes are locked before taking holiday leave.
