Metro Transit asks residents and businesses to help clear bus stops

As Metro Transit prepares for resumption of bus service on Thursday, February 3, General Manager Chuck Kamp would like to recognize residents and businesses that take the extra time to clear snow from bus stops. Given the extreme nature of this storm, he said "We're thanking those folks and asking others who have a bus stop by their property to help us out with snow removal so that the commute will go as smooth and as safe as possible the next several days." The Madison Streets Department has been effectively focusing on snow removal at bus stops this season. They will begin snow removal at bus stops toward the end of this week. In the meantime, Metro thanks riders for their patience and residents and businesses for their assistance.
