
Madison Parks Winter Activities for Feb. 4-6
Winter Food Drive - Madison Parks is partnering with Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin to host a Winter Food Drive through February 6. Donations of non-perishable foods and grocery products (personal care and cleaning items) will be accepted at Vilas Park, Elver Park and Tenney Park, the Madison Park Administration Office and Warner Park Community Recreation Center. For more information on this project: http://www.cityofmadison.com/news/view.cfm?news_id=2453 Outdoor Skating Rinks - Open for skating are: Elver, Vilas, Tenney, Westmorland, Heritage Heights, Nakoma. On Saturday morning staff will clear snow from Garner and Olbrich Park rinks. Staff has packed the groomed the trails at Elver, Odana Hills, Monona Golf Course, South Cherokee, Owen Conservation Park, and Olin Turville Park. The conditions are great for sledding. Elver Park sledding hill will be groomed tomorrow morning. Remember, sledding is at your own risk. Bring your own sled. Exit the bottom of the hill as quickly as possible and walk up the sides of the hill.
