Between Gammon Rd. & Whitney Way
The West Beltline Highway between Gammon Road and Whitney Way is temporarily shutdown at this hour due to large chunks of ice falling from a television tower. There were early reports that some ice chunks smashed windshields of parked cars, but no reports of moving vehicles being struck. However, some ice was hitting the roadway. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
