CYBER-BULLYING
MPD Sponsors Seminar at Kennedy Elementary School
Next week, the Madison Police Department will host a seminar on cyber-bulling aimed at educating the public about a troubling trend to which many young people are exposed. Sgt. June Groehler will lead a discussion at Kennedy Elementary School, 221 Meadowlark Drive, on Tuesday, March 8th, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. This past year, Sgt. Groehler, with the help of other MPD officers, hosted similar public forums regarding the potential dangers of social networking. Sessions were well attended, and many Madisonians indicated information shared was much appreciated. The MPD remains committed to working proactively with the community, as residents look to learn more about popular communication networks used by children.
