The First Tee® of South Central Wisconsin to host home site in Madison Parks Monona Golf Course

Madison, WI | Madison Parks pleased to announce that the Golf Madison Parks has joined forces with The First Tee® of South Central Wisconsin to host the chapter's home site at Monona Golf Course and to make affordable access to golf available to all area youth! The First Tee® is an international youth development organization that utilizes golf to teach all kids skills that will benefit them for life. The mission of The First Tee is: to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The First Tee® golf coaches and instructors are trained to integrate seamlessly into their technical golf instruction nine core values Courtesy, Good Judgment, Respect, Confidence, Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance, Responsibility and Sportsmanship-values and skills that are beneficial to participants both on and off the course! "We are pleased to partner with The First Tee," says Kevin Briski, Madison Parks Superintendent. "We look forward to the growth of this program, and our continued investment in quality golf programs for our residents and visitors." A generous scholarship program is available through The First Tee® program. Please note: If your child qualifies for the free or reduced lunch program at school, he or she is eligible for a scholarship in The First Tee®. Even if your child does not qualify for the reduced or free lunch program, he or she may qualify for a program scholarship.
