Senior Art Winners for 2011 Announced

The Madison Senior Center is proud to announce the award winners of An Artful Affair, the Senior Art Show held in month of May. Artists age 55 and over submitted works that were judged by three professional artists from the Madison area. Sherry Ackerman, Russell Gardner, Jr., and Georgene Pomplum reviewed almost 100 works of art to arrive at the Best of Show, submitted by Betty Willmore with her piece, "Ladies of the Field." The Judge's Choice awards went to Shirley Price-Marcus, professional, for "Fractured" and to Howard Lippincott, non-professional, for "Prairie Cathedrals." Dorothy Bausch, professional, received an Award of Excellence for "Full Moon thru Trees" and John Oaks received an Award of Excellence for "Self Portrait 2010." Honorable Mention awards went to Sally Probasco, professional for "Calling All Iguanas: Party Time" and to Mary Somers for "Music in the Air." Additional recognition, Round of Applause awards went to Eunice Eide for "Peninsula Park 2," Jim Angevine for "South Wall," Ginny Bores for "Cactus Flowers," Linda Pustz for her mixed-media work, "Currents" and Marilyn Knipfer for "Brookhaven Heron."
