Mayor Soglin to Appear on CNN's American Morning Show

Soglin Interview will air Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m.

Madison Mayor Paul Soglin will be a guest on CNN's "American Morning" Tuesday, June 21st. Just returned from the U.S. Conference of Mayors Meeting in Baltimore, Mayor Soglin will address the conference's recently-passed resolution calling for the President and Congress to withdraw American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. The resolution calls for refocusing defense appropriations to domestic spending to support vital human needs, promote job creation, rebuild our infrastructure, aid municipal and state governments, develop a new economy based upon renewable, sustainable energy and reduce the federal debt. The issue of the local economies of cities will also be addressed. "American Morning" airs from 5:00-8:00 a.m. in the Madison market. Soglin's interview is scheduled to be aired at 6:30 a.m.
