Rhythm and Booms Message from Mayor Paul Soglin

posted

A safe and happy 4th of July weekend is my wish for all of you! I am pleased that a number of city agencies including Traffic Engineering, Madison Police, Madison Metro and City Parks are working together with Rhythm and Booms organizers to make 2011 another great year. I want to add my word of caution regarding the extensive road work that is underway around Warner Park. Travel will take longer and I encourage your patience. There is more detailed information on the city website: www.cityofmadison.com/rhythmandbooms and on the Rhythm and Booms website http://www.rhythmandbooms.com. I urge you to consult with those references before making your trip to Warner Park. Enjoy the many activities planned for the event including the Run to the Rhythm, a new 5K run and 2 mile walk, the Greatest Hits Stage, the world renowned U.S. Army Gold Knights Parachute Team and of course, the World Class Fireworks timed to music on WOLX 94.9 FM. Plan your day accordingly as you join family and friends for Rhythm and Booms 2011!
