Volunteers needed for Fall Intergenerational Programs

posted

Become part of a rewarding and enjoyable intergenerational experience as a volunteer at the Madison Senior Center. Mentor a first-year nursing student and work with him/her to practice communication skills and to learn useful health care information. The student and mentor meet for five hourly sessions during the semester. If you are willing to share health related information in a confidential environment, consider this option. If you enjoy preschool age children, sign up to assist little people in a craft project. Work with senior center leadership and preschool teachers to provide adult guidance and friendship to a child. They meet monthly, September through May for about two hours. If you are 50 plus and would like to be part of the fun, call Rick at 608-267-2344 at the Madison Senior Center.
