Registration deadline extended to Thursday, February 27st

Say goodbye to winter and get ready for spring by learning how to help Madison’s lakes and streams while beautifying your yard at the same time at the Retain the Rain! Workshop, scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2014.

The workshop, sponsored by the Madison Area Municipal Storm Water Partnership, will be held at the LFA Agriculture and Conservation Center, located at 5201 Fen Oak Drive in Madison, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

From learning how to plan for and install a rain garden that will help reduce storm water runoff, many tips will be shared.  The latest in rain harvesting units will be on display and ordering options discussed.  Workshop attendees will also learn about the Plant Dane! Cost-Share Program, which provides plants at less than half of retail costs.

Workshop registration deadline is February 27.  The cost for the workshop is $5.  The registration form is available at myfairlakes.com .
