
Mayor Soglin to Participate in Big Ideas for Cities Event
Madison Mayor Paul Soglin will be one of ten Mayors from around the country speaking at a National League of Cities sponsored Big Ideas for Cities on Friday, April 11 in Chicago.
The event hosted by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, will also feature Mayor Chris Coleman of St. Paul, Mayor Michael Nutter from Philadelphia and Mayor Charlie Hales of Portland, Oregon among others.
The Mayors will deliver talks on ideas or innovations that can make a dramatic difference to the future of our cities. A wide range of topics will be covered, such as new approaches to closing the achievement gap in education, sustainable solutions for cities, and efforts to embed a culture of innovation and performance in municipal government.
