No Refuse or Recycling Collection on Friday July 4th
Drop off sites also closed
There will be no refuse or recycling collection in the City of Madison on Friday July 4th due to the Independence Day holiday. Residents who have their refuse and recycling collected on Friday will have their material collected on Monday July 7th. Residents in Monday’s refuse collection district will also have their material collected on the 7th.
“Because of the double collection on Monday the 7th it is important that residents have their material out by 7 a.m. to insure collection,” Madison Recycling Coordinator George Dreckmann said.
Because of the holiday, the Streets Division’s large item service may run a day late the week of July 7th.
The City of Madison yard waste drop off sites will also be closed on Friday July 4th. They will be open on Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Complete information about all of the Streets Division’s solid waste services in available at www.cityofmadison.com/streets. Residents with questions can call 246-4532 (east) or 266-4681 (west).
