City of Madison 100% Renewable Energy Study

Share your ideas online and at community discussion on Wednesday, September 27 at Madison Central Library

When the city achieves 100% renewable energy and net zero carbon emissions, what will your home be like? What features will your office building have? What sort of transportation will you use?

Madison 100% Renewable Energy Study wants to hear from you about how our city will be powered in the future. Share your sustainable and environmentally friendly ideas by participating in a short online survey on Madison 100% Renewable Energy Study’s website. Select the “submit public comment” button. Survey responses are being collected now through November 17.

On Wednesday, September 27, the community discussion kicks-off on how Madison can achieve this ambitious goal. Members of the public are invited to meet with the consultants hired by the City to help design a renewable future. Come to the Central Library located at 201 W. Mifflin St., Room 302, from 6-8 p.m., ready to share your unique perspectives and ideas and ask questions.

Bob Lindmeier, Chief Meteorologist at WKOW-TV in Madison, will join the conversation to share his expertise as an atmospheric scientist who has closely followed the issue of climate change. With over 37 years of experience, Mr. Lindmeier speaks on how humans are causing climate change, the many impacts from climate change locally, nationally and globally as well as the need to put a price on carbon.
