Statement of Mayor Paul Soglin on Recently Passed Dane County Budget

Included in the 2019 Dane County operating budget, passed Monday night, was the addition of three full-time staff for the Neighborhood Intervention Program. The Dane County Neighborhood Intervention Program is one of the most effective resources in the area when it comes to working with youth who may have entered or be at risk of entering the juvenile justice system.

At this time, when our community so clearly needs high-quality options to work with the youth who most need it, I applaud the County in increasing their investment in this excellent program.
