Mayor Statement Regarding Council Action on Housing-Related Zoning Amendments

Tonight, the Common Council took a positive step to support the development of more housing and more types of housing in Madison. This ordinance will make it more straightforward for smaller developers and small developments to move forward. This ordinance alone will not solve our housing crisis, but it is one piece of a larger strategy that we are acting on. I thank the Council for their leadership and partnership tonight and I look forward to continuing to collaborate on housing solutions in Madison.
