No Streets Division Collections on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023
There will be no recycling, trash, brush, or large item collections performed by the City of Madison Streets Division on Monday, May 29, 2023 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The Streets Division drop-off sites will also be closed.
Trash & Recycling Collection
Madison residents who normally have their trash and recycling collected on Mondays by the Streets Division should instead place their scheduled cart(s) to the curb for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
Trash and recycling pickup for residents that have a regularly scheduled Tuesday collection day will also have their carts emptied on Tuesday, May 30.
Residents who set out carts after 6:30 a.m. may miss their scheduled collection and will need to wait until the next scheduled pickup day to have their carts emptied.
Drop-off Sites
The Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023 in observance of the holiday. They will reopen during their posted hours on Tuesday, May 30.
Drop-off site locations and hours are different than in years prior.

Large Item Collection
Streets Division’s large item collection will not occur on the Memorial Day holiday. Crews will begin collecting scheduled large items on Tuesday, May 30.
