No Streets Division Collections or Drop-off on Juneteenth, Wednesday, June 19, 2024

There will be no recycling, trash, brush, or large item collections performed by the City of Madison Streets Division on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

The Streets Division drop-off sites will also be closed.

Trash & Recycling Collection

Madison residents who normally have their trash and recycling collected on Wednesdays by the Streets Division should instead place their scheduled cart(s) out for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Residents who have their trash and recycling collection scheduled for Thursdays should have their cart(s) out for emptying by 6:30 a.m. on June 20 as well.

Residents who set out carts after 6:30 am may miss their scheduled collection and will need to wait until the next scheduled pickup day.

Drop-off Sites Information

The Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. 

They will reopen for their posted hours on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Check the Streets Division website to learn the locations, their operations hours, and the material they accept.

Large Item Collection Information

Residents that have a Sunday June 16, 2024 set out date should set the items out on the date you scheduled, not before or after, as normal.

Collection occurs sometime during the normal work week following the set-out Sunday. This is standard Streets Division operations.

Large item collection will occur as normal on June 17 and June 18.  It will then pause for the holiday of June 19.

If your scheduled large item pickup has not occurred by the holiday, please keep the scheduled item, or items, out for collection.

Crews will resume large item pickup of scheduled items on Thursday, June 20, 2024 following the holiday.
