Ride the Drive Returns This Sunday

posted

The weather looks perfect for the return of Ride the Drive this Sunday, August 11. The free event runs from 10am to 2pm as select city streets close to motor vehicles and six Parks Hubs overflow with free activities, bike checks, food and entertainment.

Ride the Drive began in 2009 as an event celebrating Madison’s commitment to healthy, active living. This tradition continues as thousands of happy people come together to experience parks and open streets in a single, one-day, free, community event.

There is no wrong way to enjoy Ride the Drive. Participants can stroll, roll, pedal or glide from park to park along the designated 4-mile route, which travels in both directions. Eventgoers can start their day by stopping by an Info Booth at any of the six Parks Hubs to pick up a map or scan the QR code, fill up their water bottle, purchase RTD merch and pick up an RTD Prize Pass for a chance to win Parks swag.
