UPDATE: Sycamore Drop-off Site Closed on 8/15/24 Due to Gas Leak; Site to Reopen 8/16/24

Update 8/15, 5:05pm: 

The Streets Division drop-off site at 4602 Sycamore Avenue will re-open for normal operating hours on Friday, August 16, 2024.  

For details regarding the Madison Fire Department response to the gas leak in the 4400 block of Sycamore Avenue, please view their incident report.


Original Release:

The Streets Division drop-off site at 4602 Sycamore Avenue is closed to the public for the remainder of today, August 15, 2024.

There is an active gas leak at 4400 Sycamore Ave.  

Drop-off site users should utilize the two remaining drop-off sites at either 402 South Point Rd or 121 E. Olin Avenue.

For details regarding the gas leak, contact the Madison Fire Department.

Details about when the Sycamore site will reopen will be made available at a later time.
