The City of Madison Clerk's Office has issued absentee ballots to 33,579 voters for the April 1 election. So far, 13,535 have been returned to be counted. More than 6,500 voters have cast ballots via in-person absentee voting

Being able to verify that your absentee has been delivered to the Clerk’s Office can provide peace of mind as Election Day approaches. There’s an easy way to track your absentee:

  1. Visit MyVote.wi.gov.
  2. Click the Track My Ballot tile toward the top of the screen.
  3. Enter your name and date-of-birth. Click the Search button.
  4. Click the View My Request button that appears under your name.
  5. Scroll down to My Absentee Status. Look for the “Completed absentee ballot received” tile.

Absentees remain sealed in their envelopes until they have been checked into the poll book on Election Day.
