Update: Street Closure - East Wilson Street April 2 to mid-June

Starting Tuesday, April 2, East Wilson Street will be fully closed between S Pinckney Street and King Street for the continuation of the East Wilson Street reconstruction project.
A detour will be in place to send westbound Wilson Street traffic to use King Street to S Pinckney Street. Temporary all-way stop signs will be installed on E Doty Street at S Pinckney Street to facilitate the detour route.

Metro Transit bus stops will be relocated during this time and buses will use the detour route.
Due to the location of underground utilities that need replacing, maintaining a travel lane through the work zone on East Wilson Street is not possible.
Local traffic to driveways will be maintained from either Pinkney Street or King Street and will vary depending on the location of the work zone. The contractor, RG Huston, will communicate with businesses and residents on the changing access.
The closure of this portion of East Wilson Street is expected to remain until mid-June.
