Ski trails, skating rinks, sledding hills in Madison Parks

It's a great weekend for winter fun in Madison Parks. Ski Trails- All of the trails have been groomed, except Turville Woods. At Turville Woods, tree removal was done in the woods for on-going restoration work. The trails will be groomed with the next significant snow fall. Odana Golf Course and Elver Park will be open for ski rentals and concessions this weekend. Odana Hills is open Saturday and Sunday, 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. and Elver Park Shelter is open Saturday and Sunday from 11a.m. - 9p.m. The lights will be on at Elver Park. Remember a ski pass is needed to ski at Elver Park and Odana Hills. You can buy yours at the trail head, or on-line at: https://www.cityofmadison.com/epayment/parks/skiPermit/ Skating Rinks - Good news! Some of the skating rinks are open and ready for skating. Open and safe for skating today are: Olbrich, Westmorland, Warner, Tenney, Vilas and Heritage Heights (new Adopt Ice Partnership small neighborhood rink.) Please note that hockey boards are NOT yet up at Warner or Tenney. Concessions and skate rentals at Tenney and Vilas will be open starting Saturday, December 18. Sledding Hills - Madison Parks Staff will be making snow at Elver Park for the sledding hill on Monday.
