Madison Winter Festival moves to Memorial Union Terrace

posted

February 18, 2011 Madison, WI | The Hoofers Winter Carnival invites the Madison Winter Festival and Jeep Downtown Throwdown to join them on the Memorial Union Terrace this weekend with first event starting tonight at 8:30pm. This weekend's Madison Winter Festival (February 19-21) will be moved to Memorial Union. The event was originally scheduled to take place around the Capitol Square; however, as the State Legislature is in session and much of the area around the Capitol will be used by State Officials and staffers. Due to the location change, event organizers, Madison City officials and Hoofers at Memorial Union have worked together to restructure Madison Winter Festival keeping it in the downtown area while meeting the spirit of the event. For a listing of this weekend's schedules, please visit the Madison Winter Festival and Hoofers Winter Carnival websites.
