Final Plan Revealed for Meadowridge Library and Meadowood Neighborhood Center

posted

Join staff from the Meadowridge Library and Meadowood Neighborhood Center along with architects from Engberg Anderson as they present the final designs for the Meadowridge Library and Community Center expansion in an additional meeting on top of a prior series of three. The fourth meeting is Thursday, October 10 at 7 pm at the former Ace Hardware store next to Meadowridge Library at 5726 Raymond Road. This meeting will present the final design for the expansion with a public opportunity to offer feedback. The design was developed with input from the first three meetings, held on May 9, June 6 and June 20. The expansion of the Meadowridge Library and Meadowood Neighborhood Center offers both agencies the opportunity to increase their own spaces and provide a shared space for community programs, meetings, and computer lab. The expansion and co-location will allow the library and the neighborhood center the opportunity to develop collaborative programs that will benefit both organizations and better serve neighborhood residents. The project is expected to go to bid in early November 2013 and construction to begin by the beginning of 2014. The construction will be completed in stages, with the final project expected to be complete in the fall of 2014. Follow the project online at www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/meadowridge
