Middleton & Madison Police Departments join forces to make arrests

MPD and Middleton Police detectives have connected three men to a series of recent armed robberies. Information gleaned in the investigation indicates much of the money taken was used to buy drugs to include heroin.
 
Arrested are:
 
 

  • William L. Christian, age 28, no permanent address, is charged with 4 counts of armed robbery, 1 count of attempted armed robbery, and 1 count of substantial battery.
 
 
  • Joshua E. Kahl, age 29, Madison, is charged with 3 counts of armed robbery and 2 counts of armed robbery/party to a crime.
 
 
  • Matthew O. Roach, age 23, Madison, is charged with 2 counts of armed robbery/party to a crime.
 
 
  • Anne E. Christian, age 29, no permanent address, is charged with 4 counts of armed robbery/party to a crime.
 
 
Mr. Christian, Ms. Christian and Mr. Kahl are accused of robbing the Tobacco Outlet Plus, 3868 E. Washington Ave. on October 29, 2014.
 
Mr. Christian is accused of robbing the PDQ, 5301 South Ridge Way (Middleton), on November 4, 2014.
 
Mr. Christian, Ms. Christian and Mr. Kahl are accused of robbing Preplayed, 7610 Mineral Point Rd., on November 10, 2014.
 
Mr. Christian and  Mr. Kahl are accused of robbing Tobacco Outlet Plus, 3868 E. Washington Ave., on November 12, 2014.
 
Mr. Christian, Ms. Christian, Mr. Roach and Mr. Kahl are accused of robbing Paisley Hair Salon, 1941 University Ave., on November 12, 2014.
 
Mr. Kahl, Mr. Roach and Ms. Christian are accused of robbing Tobacco Outlet Plus, 6621 University Ave. (Middleton), on November 16, 2014.
