Employees Donate 3,145 Meals

Over 200 employees of the City of Madison raised $1,000 and collected 174 pounds of food for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin on Saturday, January 10th, 2015, in conjunction with the annual employee bowling tournament at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes in Madison.

$1,000 + 174 pounds of food is the equivilant of 3,145 meals/"bowls" of food.

The annual bowling tournament has been a tradition for 31 years.  It is a fun event, done on personal time, that helps bring together all City departments.

This was the first year employees incorporated a food drive into the bowling event, and based on its success, it will be a regular part of the bowling tournament for the foreseeable future.
