Resources for the Madison Community
Madison stands with the families of Abundant Life community. This page is dedicated to connecting victims and the broader community to resources and accurate information about the tragic events that happened on December 16.
Accessibility
Parking spaces for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are available in all City lots and on the ground floor of all City parking garages. At cashier-operated facilities, parking fees are collected upon exit by cashiers, Pay-on-Foot Stations, Exit Stations or via a Parking Fee Notice (for overnight parking).
In the State Street Capitol Garage, parking for PWDs is also available next to the elevator on every level.
A valid, state-issued "Parking for PWDs" hangtag or license plate must be properly displayed when parking in a designated "Parking for PWDs" space. The individual to whom the hangtag or plates were issued must be in the vehicle when it is parked and when the vehicle leaves the parking space.
The hangtag or license plate exempts the PWD from parking fees or time limit restrictions ONLY when parking at a meter with a time limit of 30 minutes or longer. Parking within the cashiered section of any City garage or lot requires the payment of standard parking fees.
Do not operate your vehicle with the tag hanging from the rearview mirror; the hangtag could obstruct your vision and subject you to a moving traffic violation.
