10/14/2020 Update:
All pipe has been replaced and the contractor is working to tie all pipes back into the sewer structures. Testing of the new sewer main will be occurring the week 10/12/2020. After testing is complete and all pipes are tied in to the structures, restoration of the project site will be completed. The Capitol City Trail bike path will continue to be closed. It is anticipated that the bike path would be opened Oct. 19, 2020.
Project Overview
The City of Madison will be replacing old and failing sanitary sewer mains in the area of Industrial Dr. and Capital City Bike Trail. Along with this work will be a closure of the Capital City Bike Trail beginning on Aug. 26, 2020 and will last for six weeks. If work is completed in the bike trail area before six weeks, the path will be opened earlier.
