2023 Summer Youth Violence Prevention RFP (Closed)

Purpose

As part of a broader strategy to mitigate conditions that contribute to youth violence, the City is again investing $420,000 of federal funding it received through the State and Local Recovery Funds component of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) into youth violence prevention-focused summer programming. Funding will be used to support youth violence prevention strategies approved by the Mayor’s Office for summer 2023.

  2. Review the Timeline

    Please keep in mind these important dates. They represent the City’s desired timeline for implementing this project. All dates are tentative, non-binding, and subject to change, with notice. 

    • March 17, 2023 - Release of Application
    • April 3, 2023 at 4:30 PM CST - Application Deadline
    • April 4 – April 14, 2023 - CDD Staff Review
    • April 18, 2023 - Recommended Funding Allocations Brought Before Mayor
    • April 19, 2023 - Notification of Funded Agencies
    • May 15, 2023 - Anticipated Contract Start Date

    Funding allocation decisions are subject to Mayoral review and approval.

  4. Submit the Application

    Applications MUST be received by our office by 4:30 PM CST on April 3, 2023. Proposals must be submitted to: CDDapplications@cityofmadison.com. All proposals must be submitted electronically.

    Applications time stamped received after 4:30 pm will not be accepted, no exceptions!

    You will receive a confirmation email once you have submitted your application. These email notifications are not auto generated so allow some time for a person to receive and process your application. If you do not receive a notification within 2 hours, it means that your application did not get delivered.
