Course Description

This course provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in construction. Participants will receive an OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate of Completion card.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Introduction to OSHA: Employees will learn the who, what, where, when and why of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration
  2. Focus Fours: Our class will journey through the four leading causes of injuries in the construction trade: Falls, Electrocutions, Struck-Bys, and Caught-In/or Between.
  3. Class Electives: Students will learn a variety of skills in the hazard recognition of multiple topics like: Excavations, Hand and Power Tools, Confined Space, Ladders, Cranes, Material Handling, Scaffolds, etc.
