Course Description

This course provides training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in construction. Participants will receive an OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate of Completion card.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Introduction to OSHA: Employees will learn the who, what, where, when and why of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration
  2. Focus Fours: Our class will journey through the four leading causes of injuries in the construction trade: Falls, Electrocutions, Struck-Bys, and Caught-In/or Between.
  3. Class Electives: Students will learn a variety of skills in the hazard recognition of multiple topics like: Excavations, Hand and Power Tools, Confined Space, Ladders, Cranes, Material Handling, Scaffolds, etc.

  • August 13 & 14: Parks Central - Goodman Facility, 1402 Wingra Creek Pkwy, Madison, WI 53715
    • Day 1: August 13 from 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
    • Day 2: August 14 from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • September 26 & 27: Fleet - Nakoosa Facility, 4151 Nakoosa Trail, Room 1001, Madison, WI 53714
    • Day 1: September 26 from 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
    • Day 2: September 27 from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

Please plan ahead to arrive on time or early for minimal course disruption.
