Bicycle Recovery Program
If your bike is lost or stolen:
- Report your bicycle as lost or stolen by submitting a self-report.
- If you suspect your bike was stolen, create a stolen bike alert on Bike Index or Garage 529
- To confirm if Madison Police has recovered your bicycle, please submit a Bike Recovery question or call the Madison Police Property Room at 608‑266‑4955.
Bicycle Recovery & Abandoned Bicycles
Abandoned Bicycles - The Abandoned Bicycle Service is currently suspended. However, if you suspect an abandoned bicycle may be stolen, please contact non-emergency dispatch at 608-255-2345.
Application for Bicycle Donation - City of Madison Ordinance allows for donation of bicycles to charitable non-profit organizations. When abandoned bicycles are not returned to the owner or soled, the City of Madison Police Department will donate abandoned bicycles to qualified organizations.
