Meet Firefighter/EMT Casey Dolphin

Where are you stationed? 
Station 10 (Troy Drive) on the ‘A’ shift. Previously Station 8 (Lien Road).

Why did you want to pursue this career?
I wanted to help people and give back to the community. 

Why did you want to work in Madison? 
I am proud to be from Madison and I wanted to give back and help the community that has done so much for me.

What is something you love about Madison? 
I love the lakes in Madison. Whether it is boating, swimming, or fishing, the lakes are my favorite place in Madison. 

Tell us something you enjoy about the territory you serve.
We have a very diverse territory, so you never know what sort of calls you may go on.

What has been the most rewarding part of your experience so far?
The gratitude people demonstrate for caring for them.

What advice would you give to someone hoping to join the MFD? 
Come in with a positive attitude and be ready to work. If you demonstrate a willingness to learn and work hard, people will help you become the best firefighter possible. Attitude and effort will go a long way.
