13th annual 'Never Forget' blood drive
Wednesday, September 11, 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.: September 11 is a day of service and remembrance for us in the fire service. Each year, we partner with the Madison Police Department to host a blood drive. This year's event will be at Garver Feed Mill (3241 Garver Green). Register today! Together, we hope to help the American Red Cross collect over 130 blood donations.
Firefighter Fun Day at Station 10
Sunday, September 15, 1:00-4:00 p.m.: For the first time ever, and by popular request, Firefighter Fun Day comes to Fire Station 10 (1517 Troy Drive)! Your north side firefighters will have the fire engine and ambulance on display, there will be fire station tours, free food and drinks, a DJ, and more! Free and fun for the whole family!
Madison Fire Department Zoo Takeover
Saturday, September 21, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.: Come visit our Fire Prevention Division and your neighborhood firefighters at Henry Vilas Zoo (702 South Randall Avenue). Learn about fire safety while seeing your favorite zoo animals. Collect clues to put together a secret phrase and win a fun prize!
Trucks & Treasures
Saturday, September 21, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Ladder 6 joins other City of Madison "big rigs" at the Goodman Pool parking lot (325 W. Olin Avenue). This event features a kids-to-kids garage sale (cash only) where kids sell gently used books, games, toys, bikes, and more "treasures." This is a rain or shine event!
Firefighter Fun Day at Station 9
Saturday, September 21, 1:00-4:00 p.m.: Meet us without the emergency! The fire/EMS crew at Station 9 (201 N. Midvale Blvd.) open their doors again for an afternoon of fun for the whole family! Tour the fire trucks and fire station, enjoy free food and drinks, dance with our DJ, and much more!
