Electric Truck Naming is Down to the Wire; Truck Name Vote Ends on October 21, 2024 at 4:00pm

posted

The public vote to choose the names for Madison’s and Wisconsin’s first electric trash collection vehicles is about to be unplugged.

Make your choice for the names on the Wisconsin Clean Cities website (https://wicleancities.org).  The vote ends on Monday, October 21 at 4:00pm.

Will the trucks be named in honor of two former Wisconsin Badger football players, JJ Watt and TJ Watt?

Will one carry a name inspired by legendary Milwaukee Brewers announcer and baseball icon Bob Uecker?

Will these garbage trucks be named Butch and Shirley to honor Madison’s proud place in alternative music?  Or will one of the trucks be named after that one time Elvis Presley broke up a fight by striking a karate pose on East Washington?

George Washington may never had dreamed of his name inspiring a pun for a garbage truck, but perhaps your  will choose to name one of the first electric trash trucks in Wisconsin after our first president?

Or one them could be named Trucky McTruckface – who knows?

The choice is yours.
