Guidance for covering polling places

  • When showing up at a polling place, check in with the Chief Inspector. There is no need to contact the Clerk’s Office in advance.
  • Members of the media are allowed to take photos and video as long as it is okay with those captured in the images, and the Chief Inspector does not find it disruptive.
  • Please be respectful of voter privacy and the lawful right to a secret ballot.
  • Conversations with voters should be outside of the room where voting takes place, after they have voted.
