Trash & Recycling Collection Schedule for the 2024 Thanksgiving Holiday
There will be no Streets Division collections performed on both Thursday, November 28, 2024 and Friday, November 29, 2024 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
The drop-off sites will also be closed on Thanksgiving and the Friday after. The Saturday and Sunday following the Thanksgiving break are the final weekend hours for the drop-off sites in 2024.
Below are the directions residents should follow in order to have their trash and recycling collected during the upcoming two-day holiday.
If You Have a Wednesday or Thursday Trash & Recycling Collection Day…
If your trash and recycling are normally collected on Wednesdays or Thursdays by the Streets Division, you should have your carts to the curb by 6:30am on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Check your collection schedule calendar to determine if you should have your recycling cart to the curb along with your trash cart.
Carts set out late may not be collected.
If You Have a Friday or Monday Trash & Recycling Collection Day…
If your trash and recycling are normally collected on Fridays or Mondays by the Streets Division, you should have your carts to the curb by 6:30am on Monday, December 2, 2024.
Check your collection schedule calendar to determine if you should have your recycling cart to the curb along with your trash cart.
Carts set out late may not be collected.
Drop-Off Site Information
The Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024.
The weekend following the Thanksgiving holiday will be the final drop-off site weekend for the Streets Division drop-off sites for the year.
The final day for the Olin Avenue drop-off site is December 1, 2024. The Olin Avenue site will then close for the winter season. It will reopen in the spring of 2025 at a date to be determined.
The Sycamore and South Point drop-off sites will remain on expanded hours until Friday, December 6, 2024.
