Course Description

Highs and Lows: Navigating Substance Use is a training focused on exploring topics like substance use, coping strategies, and applying Trauma Informed Care principles to foster supportive environments at work and in your home life. Join us for this interactive session where we will explore components of mental health and ways to discuss & approach substance use concerns.

Learning Objectives

  1. Gather understanding about topics like substance use, misuse, and addiction.
  2. Practice applying Trauma Informed Care principles into the support of individuals struggling with substance use.
  3. Exploring community supports for those who may be struggling with substance use disorders.
  4. Build community by connecting with other colleagues at the City of Madison who are practicing similar skills.
